Job description
What will you do?
As a hospitality security officer at B&O Horeca and Events, you work the door at cafés, bars and clubs in Tilburg city centre. You are the first face guests see: welcoming where possible, firm where necessary. You keep an overview, spot tension early and work together with the venue team to make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable night out. You work in a steady team, at fixed locations, with a schedule that is known well in advance.
Your main tasks
- Welcoming guests and checking access, including age and ID checks
- Enforcing the door policy and house rules in consultation with the venue owner
- Monitoring inside and around the venue and spotting trouble at an early stage
- De-escalating conflicts and, where necessary, intervening professionally and proportionately
- Staying in contact with bar staff, management and colleagues by radio
- Accurately recording incidents and working with the police and emergency services when needed

Holiday pay and holiday days
8% holiday pay and 24 holiday days per year on a full-time basis. As an on-call employee, you receive your holiday hours as a supplement to your wage.
Public holiday supplement
50% extra on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and King's Day, and 100% extra on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
Pension
You automatically build up a pension with the industry pension fund for Private Security (Bedrijfstakpensioenfonds Particuliere Beveiliging).
Fixed locations and a steady team
You work at fixed hospitality venues in Tilburg city centre, with regular colleagues and a dedicated contact person at the planning desk.
Schedule known in advance
Your shift schedule is set well in advance, so you can easily combine work with your studies, another job or your private life.
Room to grow
Opportunities to move on to event security or a team leader role within B&O Horeca and Events.
Who you are
Is this role for you?
Required
- Beveiliger 2 or SVH Horecabeveiliger (hospitality security) diploma
- Valid security pass, or willing to apply for one through us
- Available in the evenings, at night and at weekends
- Welcoming, assertive and calm under pressure, with strong people skills
- Good command of the Dutch language
- At least 18 years old
Nice to have
- Experience as a hospitality security officer or door supervisor
- Familiarity with the Tilburg nightlife scene
- Valid company emergency response (BHV) and/or first aid (EHBO) certificate
- Good command of the English language
