Event Security Officer
Job description
What will you do?
Festivals, concerts, sporting events and corporate events: as an Event Security Officer, you make sure visitors can enjoy themselves safely and without worry. You work as part of a team at the entrance, among the crowd or at crowd management positions. At B&O Security Group you get a varied schedule and fair pay under the collective labour agreement.
Your main tasks
- Carry out access control, including ticket, bag and body searches
- Monitor visitor flows and identify overcrowding (crowd control)
- Enforce the organiser's house rules and safety regulations
- Inform and assist visitors, including during emergencies or an evacuation
- De-escalate incidents and work together with first aid, the police and the organisation
- Staff your assigned post and report to your (sub-)team leader

Varied work
Different events and locations every week, from festivals to corporate events.
Holiday allowance and days off
8% holiday allowance and 24 holiday days per year based on full-time employment. As an on-call employee, your holiday hours are paid out as a supplement on your hourly wage.
Public holiday supplement
50% extra on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and King's Day, and 100% extra on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
Pension and travel allowance
Pension build-up with the Industry Pension Fund for Private Security (BPF Particuliere Beveiliging), and € 0.23 net per kilometre when you travel with your own transport. In line with the collective labour agreement, the first 7 kilometres of each one-way trip are not reimbursed.
Certainty when on call
You are called at least 24 hours in advance and paid for at least 4 consecutive hours per call.
Who you are
Is this role for you?
Required
- Event Security Officer, Beveiliger 2
- Flexible availability, especially evenings, weekends and during festival season
- Good command of the Dutch language
- Physically fit, alert and customer-oriented
- At least 18 years old
- Driving licence B and own transport
Nice to have
- Experience with festivals, concerts or sporting events
- Valid BHV (in-house emergency response) and/or first aid certificate
- Knowledge of English or another additional language
- Experience as a (sub-)team leader
